The alternative is to configure Postfix to leave local mail delivery to the Dovecot LDA or LMTP. We get that ESRI is trying to cater more to the casual user, but the GIS professionals wouldn't have come this far in their careers if they couldn't figure out how to navigate to a different folder or geodatabase to store their data. Things are organized in a folder structure so having a default geodatabase is also useless for me, and it would be nice to disable that as well. Similarly I don't toss all feature classes in one geodatabase. ![]() As such, the only files that go in my MXD folder are MXDs, so having the home folder is next to useless for me and simply forces extra mouse clicks (I have to imagine I'm not the only one). Here’s how to do it: Launch the Run dialog box by pressing Windows + R keys, then type regedit. The home folder concept ignores the fact that any organized person would create sub-folders within a given "project" directory structure. Alternatively, you can use the Registry Editor to change locations for default folders. Disabling the default GDB and home folder "enhancements" should be allowed.
